Attn RESIDENTS: September 2nd 2026 we will be having our water tower cleaned and inspected. You may notice temporary reduction in water pressure as this occurs. This is only temporary. As always, reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Today, August 31st and tomorrow, September 1st, our Public Works will be flushing hydrants. You might notice lower water pressure and sometimes some sediment or discoloration. The water is fine and safe to use as normal.

Why Flushing is Important:
👉Clears sediment: High-speed water flow pushes out rust, mineral buildup, and dirt that settle inside water mains.
👉Improves water quality: Removing stagnant water and debris keeps drinking water clean.
👉Tests emergency readiness: Opening the valves fully confirms that the hydrant opens smoothly and provides enough water pressure for firefighters.

McVille is not open to solicitation. We require a permit for transient merchants. Please do not entertain random people trying to sell stuff. If they do not have a permit ($10) from the city, we cannot verify their intentions.
