🎉 Another hiring event. Another opportunity. Another job seeker HIRED!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kingdom Hearts Child Care for a focused hiring event—and once again, we saw what can happen when prepared job seekers are connected directly with employers who are ready to hire.

Prior to the event a number of job seekers applied. 7 candidates were scheduled for interviews. But the interest didn’t stop there! Additional job seekers walked in, bringing our total attendance to 12 individuals looking to take their next step toward employment. 💼

And there were results! 🙌🏾

✅ One candidate was HIRED ON THE SPOT! 🎉
🚌 Another candidate interviewing for a bus driver position had their background check initiated on the spot and is pending hire upon successful completion of the background check.

These are the moments that remind us why we do this work. Success isn’t always measured by how many people walk through the door—it’s measured by the connections made, interviews completed, and opportunities created.

Today, we hosted Select Services for a focused hiring event, and the results speak for themselves.

We had 27 job seekers attend, with 13 individuals qualifying and interviewing on the spot. Of those candidates, 9 are moving forward to a second interview next week—and 1 person was HIRED ON THE SPOT! 🎉👏🏾

That’s one person who walked into today’s event looking for an opportunity and walked out with a JOB! 🙌🏾

This is why we encourage job seekers to keep showing up. Every event may look different, but each one brings another opportunity to make the right connection, meet the right employer, and take that next step in your career.

🎉 What an incredible day at the Westwood Career Expo!

First, a very special thank you to Dr. Melvin D Watkins Jr., Pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Westwood, for graciously hosting us today. We truly appreciate your hospitality, partnership, and commitment to opening doors of opportunity for our community.

We welcomed 347 job seekers who came ready to connect with employers, explore career opportunities, and take their next step toward employment! 💼👏

And the opportunities didn’t stop when the Expo ended! Millstone conducted interviews on the spot, and additional interviews have already been scheduled for this week and next week with Select Services, Kingdom Hearts Daycare, and Farmers Insurance.

That’s what today was all about, turning connections into opportunities and opportunities into careers. We’re grateful to every employer, community partner, and job seeker who helped make the Westwood Career Expo a success.
