There is going to be a lot to do this weekend in Metamora!! Many stores will be open as we continue flood recovery and the Metamora Music Festival music festival is ON (more details all week).

The Whitewater Valley Railroad needs our support! Check out what they are doing this weekend. Here is your chance to ride one of the motorcars!!!!!

Like to perform for your friends, family or other music lovers? You get two chances this weekend final Friday and grist Mill jam on Sunday.
Final Friday is held at the Opry barn. Sign up starts at six. Show starts at 6:30. Food is available from the Lions club. Come and support local musicians who like to pick and grand for others.

On Sunday starting at 2 PM join the music jam at the grass Mill held on the first Sunday of the month. Learn some new tunes, practice some old, but definitely make friends with other local music lovers. Bring your favorite instrument and a chair! Or, if you’re not musically inclined, you can still enjoy by just listening. The jam goes on from 2 to 4.

14 years of difference. Look how far the Whitewater Trail has come. What a great asset to Franklin County. I have walked over this trail at least 100 times through the years. Always something new to discover. If you haven’t taken a walk along the trail either towards The dam in Laurel, or following the canal toward Brookville, is a great way to relax and clear your mind.
