The Pelican Seabird Station at Pelican Harbor recently released a beautiful Brown Pelican back into the wild after receiving care and rehabilitation. ✨ After some much-needed time to heal, this feathered friend is officially ready to spread its wings and return to the waters of South Florida! 🌴

A big thank you to the dedicated team at Pelican Seabird Station for helping give injured and recovering wildlife a second chance. 💙

Friday night looked a little different from the water. 🌅

Our latest Biscayne Bay Sunset Boat Cruise departed from Crandon Marina for an evening on the bay, passing the Cape Florida Lighthouse and Stiltsville before ending with a front-row view of a beautiful Miami sunset.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the ride. 💙

Ready for the next one? Our next Sunset Boat Cruise sets sail September 26. Link in bio.

Moving the Ludlam Trail forward.

Yesterday, Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces brought together project stakeholders for an update on the Ludlam Trail as this long-awaited project moves into its next phase.

The 5.6-mile shared-use corridor is envisioned to connect neighborhoods, parks, schools, transit and destinations across central Miami-Dade, creating new opportunities for walking, biking, running and recreation.

With planning, land acquisition and environmental review complete, design of the full trail is now underway, with construction planned to advance in phases as funding becomes available.

Community engagement will continue throughout the design and implementation process, providing additional opportunities to help shape the future of the Ludlam Trail.

Learn more and follow the project at the link in our bio.
