Earlier this week, the Access LaPorte County BeachCam went off line. We were aware it was down, but we wanted to thank those that reached out to us to make sure we knew. We appreciate all feedback we get as it lets us know that there are people out there who are watching and appreciate our videos, be it the BeachCam, our municipal meetings, or any of the other productions we create.

This afternoon, we were able to visit the camera and re-establish its connection and it is back online.

Since we began streaming the BeachCam to YouTube in 2023, it has been viewed over 260,000 times. Whether it is a calm or choppy day, we believe it gives those who have called Michigan City and LaPorte County home the opportunity to check in on the lakefront, regardless of where they are.

We thank Visit Michigan City LaPorte for their continued support in making the BeachCam available to viewers in our community and around the world.
