The deadline to submit a written request to spoil your ballot and receive a new ballot is 5pm this Friday, July 24th, 2026. The Larkin Township Clerk's Office will be open from 8am to 5pm on Friday to assist you.

Good afternoon,

Due to the air quality emergency affecting Michigan from the Canadian wildfires, Priority Waste may experience collection delays today.

The safety of our drivers and field employees is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring conditions and will adjust operations as necessary to protect our crews while working to complete service as safely and efficiently as possible.
If a resident's refuse or recycling is not collected today, please ask them to leave their items at the curb. Our teams will return and complete collection tomorrow.

We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we navigate these conditions.

Priority Waste has informed us that due to "extensive maintenance issues" they were only able to finish 70% of Thursday's waste and recycle pick-up. They assure us that plans are in place to recover today.

Due to the forecast of dangerously high temperatures, Larkin Charter Township will open a cooling center, open from 9am to 7pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat.
