💊 563.30 POUNDS COLLECTED! Thank You, Douglas County! 💚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in this weekend’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day! Together, our community collected 563.30 pounds of unused and expired medications, helping keep potentially dangerous medications out of the wrong hands and protecting our environment!

A special THANK YOU to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office - Nevada for always being such an amazing community partner! We truly appreciate your partnership and everything you do for our community! 💙

Missed Take Back Day? You can safely dispose of medications YEAR-ROUND!

Douglas County has 5 permanent medication drop-off locations:

📍 Carson Valley Health – Emergency Room
📍 Food Closet
📍 FISH – Rancho's Location

🏠 Prefer to dispose of medications at home? Partnership Douglas County offers FREE at-home medication disposal kits!

We also provide FREE Narcan (naloxone) and information on how to safely dispose of used needles and other sharps.

Remember: Never flush medications down the toilet or drain! Proper disposal helps protect our local waterways, wildlife, and drinking water.

What a great week celebrating Red Ribbon Week in Douglas County! ❤️🎀

This year was extra special as we celebrated our first major Red Ribbon Week kickoff in our schools since COVID! It was so exciting to see students, teachers, and community partners come together to celebrate prevention and this year's superhero theme!

A huge thank you to our local schools for welcoming us and continuing to support prevention efforts in our community. We loved seeing everyone get involved, especially with the superhero door decorating contest! Congratulations to our winning classrooms, who got to celebrate with some donuts!

We also want to give a VERY big thank you to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officers, Douglas County Juvenile Probation Officers, and the Northern Nevada National Guard Counter Drug Program! Your time, support, and involvement helped make this event possible, and we couldn't be more grateful!

It's wonderful to see our community come together to remind students that making healthy choices and looking out for one another are ways we can all be heroes.

This Red Ribbon Week is a good reminder that we can all be a positive influence on the people around us. Whether it's making healthy choices, checking in on a friend, or just being there for someone who needs it, the little things matter!

We're lucky to have so many people here in Douglas County who care about one another and help make our community a healthier place!

It's not always easy to say no or make a different choice than your friends, especially when you're young.

This Red Ribbon Week, we want to remind our local students that it's okay to do your own thing and make the choices that are best for you. You don't have to follow the crowd, and there's a whole community here in Douglas County rooting for you!

We all know how much of a difference a good friend can make, especially growing up.

Whether it's checking in on someone, including someone who feels left out, or encouraging a friend to make a healthy choice, those little things really do matter.

This Red Ribbon Week, we're reminding our Douglas County students to look out for one another. Sometimes being a hero is as simple as being a good friend!

We're recognizing Red Ribbon Week a little early this year so we can reach our local students before their school break.

This year's theme is all about being a hero, and sometimes that just means making a good choice, standing up for a friend, or doing what's right even when it's hard.

We're looking forward to sharing a few reminders throughout the week about the little things we can all do to make our community a healthier place.

A big thank you to the American Century Championship for their generous support of Partnership Douglas County!

PDC was recently presented with a check to help expand our prevention programs throughout Lake Tahoe and Douglas County. This funding will allow us to offer more free activities that bring families together, encourage healthy connections, and support our ongoing substance use prevention efforts.

We’re so grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to continue creating positive experiences for families in our community!
