💪❄️☀️ Built Tough. Mission Ready. Knighthawk Strong. ✈️

From the bitter cold of North Dakota winters to the scorching heat of summer, the 69th Bomber Generation Squadron never stops delivering. Our Knighthawks are among the hardest working maintenance professionals in the Air Force, providing world class long range strike capability to combatant commanders through safe, reliable, and by the book maintenance.

Every inspection, every repair, and every launch is completed with precision and professionalism, ensuring our B-52s are always ready to Take Flight whenever duty calls.

No matter the challenge or the conditions, one thing never changes: we are a team. We work together, overcome together, and succeed together. That’s what it means to be a Knighthawk.

Ready today. Ready tomorrow. Ready whenever the nation calls.

✈️ WELCOME TO THE KNIGHTHAWKS, MAJ FONTAINE! 🦅

The 69th Bomber Generation Squadron is proud to welcome Maj Kori Fontaine and her wife, Meeka, to the Knighthawk family!

A Louisiana native from Baton Rouge, Maj Fontaine earned her commission through Reserve Officer Training Corps and Louisiana State University. Her aviation experience spans an impressive lineup of aircraft, including the A-10, F-15, F-16, MC-130J, AC-130U, C-17, Airbus 330, and MD-88/90.

Now, she’s ready for her next mission, stepping into command of the 69 BGS Knighthawks and learning what it takes to make the B-52 take flight. 💪✈️

Maj Fontaine is ready to get out there alongside the Knighthawks, learn from our Airmen, experience the mission firsthand and as she loves to say “Let’s get after it!” 🦅

Maj Fontaine and Meeka, welcome to the team! We’re excited to have you both as part of the Knighthawk family.

Let’s Take Flight! ✈️💣

A Legacy That Will Always Take Flight 🦅✈️

The 69th Bomber Generation Squadron Knighthawks say thank you to Lt Col Danielle Ackerman for her service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our Airmen.

Lt Col Ackerman made history as the first ever commander of the 69 BGS Knighthawks, and from day one, she made one thing clear: Airmen first.

From Jam Bar and a new popcorn machine that ran 24/7, to food and hot chocolate runs for the Airmen working the flightline, she never missed an opportunity to be there for her people. Whether it was a squadron event, a celebration, or simply a moment to recognize our Airmen, you could count on her to bring the energy and, of course, the Hawk calls! 🦅

Her leadership was never just about commanding a squadron. It was about building a family, celebrating our people, and making sure every Knighthawk knew they mattered.

Lt Col Ackerman, your legacy will live forever in the Knighthawks you led, the Airmen you inspired, and the memories you helped create.

Thank you for being our first commander. Thank you for putting Airmen first. And thank you for showing us what it means to lead from the front, with heart and how to Take Flight!

Once a Knighthawk, always a Knighthawk. 🦅

✈️ 69 BGS Change of Command

Today, the Knighthawks gathered to mark a significant moment in the history of the 69th Bomber Generation Squadron as Lt Col Danielle Ackerman relinquished command and Maj Kori Fontaine assumed command of the squadron. 🦅

The Knighthawks proudly welcome Maj Kori Fontaine as the new commander of the 69 BGS. We look forward to her leadership as we continue to generate combat airpower, develop our Airmen, and accomplish the mission.

The change of command is a long-standing military tradition dating back centuries. The ceremony represents the formal transfer of authority and responsibility from one commander to another. The passing of the unit guidon symbolizes the continuation of the unit’s history, heritage, and mission while recognizing that leadership changes, but the responsibility to the unit and its people continues.

Today, the guidon moves forward, and so do the Knighthawks.

Thank you, Lt Col Ackerman, and welcome to the Knighthawks, Maj Fontaine! 🦅
