Welcome Back to the 2026–2027 School Year! 🏫

As summer comes to a close, we are excited to welcome our students, staff, and families back for another great year of learning and growth.💚

The wait is almost over! The first day of school for all TK–8th grade students is Thursday, August 6th. We are so excited to see our incredible students and dedicated staff back on campus next week!

🗓️ Save the Date: The following week, we’ll be welcoming our families back on campus in the evening for our Annual Back to School Nights on Wednesday! Keep an eye out, more specific details will be coming directly from each school site soon.

We hope everyone had a wonderful, restful summer. Let’s make this school year our best one yet!

Spread Love & Joy: Chalk the Walk 2026!

Let’s light up the path to a brand-new school year!

As we gear up for the 2026–27 school year, we have an incredible opportunity to come together and shower our students with encouragement before they even take their first steps through the school gates.

On Wednesday, August 5th at 8:00am, we are partnering with the amazing team at Love Our Schools for Chalk the Walk—and we need your creative spark and warm energy!

Our goal is simple: transform our school sidewalks into vibrant canvases filled with uplifting messages, colorful art, and words of encouragement. Imagine the smiles on our students’ faces when they walk up on their very first day and see an ocean of love beneath their feet! 🖍️💛

🎒 Big News for Modesto Families! 🎉

The Stanislaus County Office of Education and Sylvan Union School District are excited to partner in opening Sylvan Community Preschool in August 2026—and the waiting list is now open!

Together, we’re creating a high-quality Part-Day California State Preschool Program where children of all abilities learn, play, and grow together in an inclusive, supportive environment.

✨ Program Highlights

🍎 No Cost for Eligible Families – A family of four earning up to $136,044 per year may qualify for this high-quality, state-funded preschool program. Families are not required to be working, attending school, or participating in training to be eligible.

🌟 Inclusive Classrooms – Children with and without disabilities learn side by side, building friendships, confidence, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

🎨 High-Quality Early Learning – Our engaging curriculum nurtures each child’s social, emotional, language, and cognitive development, helping every learner reach their full potential.

Children who turn 3 or 4 years old by December 1, 2026 are eligible to apply.

🍦 Stop by and enjoy a special treat! The ice cream truck will be at the booth today, so bring the family, grab some delicious ice cream, and enjoy a fun visit while picking out your fireworks.

Today is our final day of fireworks sales, so if you haven’t had a chance to stop by AND GET 10% OFF, we’d love to see you! Stock up for your Independence Day celebration while supporting a great cause.

What a wonderful way to close out our 8th grade promotion ceremonies! 🎓🙌🏻

Tonight, it was an honor to celebrate more than 350 Ustach Middle School students as they marked this important milestone. The heartfelt speeches, well-deserved awards, and words of encouragement from our staff made for a truly memorable evening.

A special thank you to Gregori High School for graciously allowing the Kodiaks to use their beautiful field for this special event.

As we send off the Ustach Middle School Class of 2026, we know their future is bright. Wherever their journey takes them, we hope they continue to live our motto every day: Belong. Believe. Achieve.

Tonight, we celebrated 302 incredible Savage Bobcats as they crossed the stage at their 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony! 🎓🐾

This special class will always be remembered as the first graduating class to promote with the new beautiful Bobcat mural displayed proudly behind them as a symbol of pride and community.

It was an unforgettable evening honoring our future leaders, dreamers, and achievers. Thank you to Savage music students for the beautiful music before the ceremony. 🎶.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing things this Class of 2026 (Class of 2030 for HS) will accomplish. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat! ❤️🖤💚🌳
