JUST THREE DAYS UNTIL THE MONROE FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, MAY 16TH! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the festival starting at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday!



JUST THREE DAYS UNTIL THE MONROE FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, MAY 16TH! Join us for this free, family-friendly event celebrating our community! We are excited to share the following fun, festival activities:

- Shopping at 30 artisan and crafter booths (see a complete list of all vendors at monroefestival.org/vendors );

- Consuming good eats at 3 food trucks (Smok'n Gingers BBQ, Uncle Sammy's, and King Whippy) as well as our local Monroe restaurants (Benny's Pizza Joint, Long Timber Brewing Company, and The LongBranch Bar & Grill);

- Drinking responsibly at your choice of 5 craft beer, wine or distilled spirits vendors (Airlie Winery, Calapooia Brewing Company / Vivacity Spirits, Long Timber Brewing Company, SD Spirits, and Tumbleweed Taphouse);

- Listening to music prepared and played by DJ & Podcaster Patrick Stutz (Spent the Rent Podcast);

- Lending an ear to McKayla Marie's beautiful singing;

- Transporting yourself into Monroe's past while riding the trolley with live tour guides;

- Throwing axes for fun, no judging, just good, safe fun!

- Watching, learning, and line dancing with Debra Rachelle of Outlaw 'Shine (visit outlawshinecountryband.com );

- Fishing derby with the kids (Note: Online registration is now closed);

- Competing in a blueberry pie eating contest (Note: Registration will be on festival day at the BAM Information Booth);

- Visiting local businesses and collecting stamps for your passport and turning it in for prizes (Note: Pick up your passport at the BAM Information Booth);

- Meeting the new librarian, joining the open house, and playing Lego Block Blast at the Monroe Community Library;

- Learning about our local timber heritage by exploring vintage log trucks on display;

- Appreciating everything our local first responders (Monroe Rural Fire Protection District and Benton County Sheriff's Office) do to protect our community;

- and we're planning more!

Heads Up! The street sweeper will be making it's way to all City of Monroe streets on Tuesday, April 21, 2026! Please keep streets clear and refrain from parking on the streets, so Public Works can complete their work as quickly as possible.

STREET SWEEPING NOTICE - TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026

Street Sweeping is scheduled for the City of Monroe on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 beginning at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, please refrain from parking on any city street throughout the day.

If you have questions about the City's street sweeping, please contact Public Works at 541-954-6640.

We can't wait for the Festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.! Come join us for fun, food, and festivities!

The 2026 Monroe Festival is coming in just 35 days! We're excited to shared the fun activities we have planned at the festival:

- Local artisans and crafters booths
- Local beer, wine and distilled spirits tastings
- Axe throwing
- Line dancing
- Kids fishing derby
- Pie easting contest
- Face painting
- Antique log truck display
- First responders' displays
- Trolley tour (local tour guides onboard)
- and we're planning more!

Please note, Monroe City Hall will have limited business hours on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

City Hall will be open limited business hours on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, City Hall will return to normal business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To pay your utility bill, please slip payments through the mail slot of the City Hall front door or call 541-847-5175, leave a message, and a member of City Staff will return your call.

Note, if you are experiencing a Public Works emergency, please call 541-954-6640.

I wanted to thank everyone who joined us at yesterday's Monroe Community Town Hall. It was a great turnout! I also wanted to thank all three Benton Community Commissioners for accepting my invitation and joining us at the Town Hall!

City Hall is closing early today (i.e., Friday, February 13, 2026) at 3:00 p.m. and will reopen the day after Presidents' Day on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
