Ice has been receding with the warmer temps. Most of the lake is open water with the exception of the hollows!

The sheet of ice is moving out from the edges after the colder weekend. The boat ramp and wedge dock is still accessible, and we will see what happens with warmer days expected this week!

Update on the Wedge Dock: We are going to try and leave the dock in through the cold streak we are getting this weekend in anticipation of warmer days again next week, however, if ice forms and we must remove the wedge dock over the weekend, we will. Call or message us here to get the most up to date information!

Temperatures are finally dropping here and we are starting to get some ice accumulation along the edges of the reservoir! We are planning on removing the wedge dock this Thursday with the hopes more ice continues to form!

Look WHOOOO is hanging out at our campground. Great horned owls are are fierce predators that can take large prey, including raptors such as Ospreys, Peregrine Falcons, Prairie Falcons, and other owls. They also eat much smaller animals such as rodents, frogs, and scorpions. They are one of the many species we have here in the park! This photo shows how their eyes dilate independently and can vary drastically to increase their success rates while hunting prey!
