Preparedness doesn't stop at your front door.

Make a plan together, share important contact information and know where to find local emergency resources.

MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THE PLAN

A family emergency plan only works if everyone knows the plan.
Talk with your family about where you'll meet, how you'll communicate, where you'll go if you need to evacuate and what each person should do.

Make preparedness a family activity. Let kids help identify supplies, practice emergency contacts and participate in a family drill.
The more familiar the plan, the easier it is to act when it matters.

Practice your plan together.
