The MPHS Literary Club hosted their annual Halloween Movie Night this evening! This yearly tradition is a personal favorite for our students and club sponsor, Ms. Sens.

A big thank you goes out to Ms. Sens, Ms. Hernandez, Mrs. Duffy, and Ms. Randles for helping make this event possible and for giving our students an evening filled with fun, laughter, and Halloween spirit!

We are so grateful for the teachers who go above and beyond to create special memories and opportunities for our students. We can't wait for next year's movie night! 🎃👻

Are you a Literary Club alum? We'd love for you to share some of your favorite memories from your time in the MPHS book club in the comments!

🎖️ Annual MPHS NJROTC Area Manager’s Inspection 🎖️

The Moss Point High School NJROTC conducted their annual inspection this morning, followed by the Pass-In-Review Ceremony at Jerry D. Alexander Stadium. This ceremony consisted of a formation of the troops, presentation of the National Colors, a performance by our Drill Team and concluded with the Pass-In-Review.

Congratulations to those who received a ribbon, medal or coin to recognize their outstanding performance during this morning's inspection. ⭐

We would like to thank the community officials, Moss Point School District staff, classmates and family members who attended the ceremony to support our cadets. A special thank you to our Mistress of Ceremony, Ishla Gildersleeve, as well as Jamelen Spain and Ja'Shun Smith who performed the National Anthem.

Our NJROTC would not continue to be so skilled and dedicated without the instruction and commitment of Commander Tara Lambert and Area-16 Manager, Captain Regan Kieff.

This past Saturday, our MPHS Key Club showed their Tiger Pride by spending their morning making sure our school Sparkles & Shines! The objects of Key Club are Leadership, Character Building, Caring, and Inclusiveness and our students exemplify these traits! The MP Key Club gave up their Saturday morning by giving back to our school. We can't thank our students, club sponsor Ms. Justine Sens, and our teacher volunteers, Mrs. Casie Duffy and Ms. Yomira Hernandez for their help and dedication! A special thank you to the MP Communications and Maintenance teams for supporting our Key Club.

🐯💙🤍 Science Comes Alive at MPHS! 🔬🧬

Ms. Danis’s students are putting science into action with engaging, hands-on learning experiences!

🫀 Anatomy & Physiology: Students tackled Silent Conversations, racing against the clock to share their knowledge of the cardiovascular system—just 30 seconds per topic and NO talking! 🤫

🐦 Zoology I: Students explored Darwin’s principles of evolution through The Battle of the Beaks! Using clothespins, binder clips, and forks as bird beaks, they discovered how adaptations impact survival.

👏🏽 Shoutout to Ms. Danis for making science interactive, challenging, and FUN!

💚 Spreading Positivity, One Message at a Time! 💚

Moss Point High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) proudly recognized Mental Health Awareness by encouraging kindness, positivity, and support throughout our school community!

Students were given the opportunity to write heartfelt messages of encouragement, inspiration, and appreciation to fellow students and teachers. These thoughtful words served as powerful reminders that everyone matters, everyone has value, and a few kind words can make a lasting difference! 💚✨

We commend our NHS students for taking the initiative to promote positivity and remind others that mental health matters. Together, we can continue building a school culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported!

Your MPHS chapter of National Honor Society and Key Club are holding their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive! This is a great opportunity for all our students to serve their community and earn community service hours. We are asking that all nonperishable donations be within the theme of Thanksgiving dinner. Donations can be turned in to Ms. Sens or Mr. Corley.

Tonight, Moss Point High School seniors Landon Cato and Reagan Pollard stepped up to the challenge for a chance to win a $500 scholarship, courtesy of Community Bank!

Each student had two opportunities to throw a football through the Community Bank target from the 10-yard line.

Although neither student made a successful throw, they both walked away with a $25 gift card and a fun experience under the Friday night lights!

We are proud of Landon and Reagan for representing Tiger Nation and giving it their best shot!

A special THANK YOU to Community Bank for investing in our students and creating exciting opportunities to celebrate our seniors!
