Scholarship Opportunity ✏️ Disability:IN Utah

Eligible students are 17-21 years old with a disability that is verifiable by a qualified professional, mental health provider, or medical professional. Eligible students must be receiving, or have received, their High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion and be transitioning or have transitioned to other educational programs after their high school program. Scholarship applications will be accepted soon.

Scholarships are $1000 each. Applicants must be Utah residents or attending a Utah training institution.

The Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) will be hosting three online listening sessions in May 2026 to connect with people with disabilities, their families, advocates, service providers, and Support Coordinators as part of the new Utah Assessment Selection Project.

During these listening sessions, staff from HSRI will:
β€’ Provide a detailed overview of the project and process
β€’ Ask questions about what matters most to you about assessments

Feedback will be used to create recommendations to the
Utah Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD)
on an assessment tool.

Sessions:
1️⃣ Monday, May 18th from 2:00-3:30 pm MT: Service providers

2️⃣ Tuesday, May 19th from 6:30-8:00 pm MT: People with disabilities, self-advocates, families, and advocates

3️⃣ Thursday, May 21st from 1:30-3:00 pm MT: Support Coordinators
