Fort Pike Volunteer Fire Department We are a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We’re a volunteer fire department established in 1952 for the Lake Catharine area of New Orleans East.

Our meetings are on the 2nd Saturday every month at 6pm.

The Fort Pike Festival and Car Show is on Saturday November 7th at the Fort Pike State Park. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, enjoy stunning automobiles, delicious food and drinks, bounce houses, face painting, and hourly Fort tours and Cannon shots. Bring the whole family for fun, history, and music.
***IMPORTANT!!! There is NO ONLINE REGISTRATION! CASH AT THE GATE IS FAST, Carshow registration payments will only be accepted at the gate on the day of the event. Message us for more details! Fort Pike Volunteer Fire Department —
We’re seeking dedicated volunteers who live in or near our area, but anyone who wants to volunteer their time and help improve the department is welcome. Training will be provided. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have no criminal record, and be willing to learn and serve our organization. Please message Chief Kirk Jacobs if you’re interested.

Today is Volunteer Firefighters Recognition Day, and we're honoring the dedicated men and women who selflessly serve their communities.

Volunteer firefighters respond to emergencies at all hours, train year-round, and sacrifice time with their families to help others when they're needed most.

To every volunteer firefighter across the country: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and everything you do to keep your communities safe.
