⚠️ **TRAVEL ADVISORY (YELLOW) – Decatur County**

Decatur County Emergency Management Agency is implementing a Travel Advisory (Yellow) effective at 6:00 PM today, August 12th due to ongoing flooding and hazardous road conditions throughout the county.

A Travel Advisory (Yellow) is the lowest level of local travel advisory. It means routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.

🚗 Travel is not prohibited. However, motorists should use extreme caution and avoid flooded roadways.

🌊 TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN!

Decatur County currently has numerous flooded roadways throughout the city and county. Some roads may appear passable but have water over the roadway.

⚠️ DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.

* Water depth can be difficult to judge.
* Road conditions beneath the water may be damaged or washed out.
* Floodwater can move vehicles off the roadway.
* After dark, water over roadways can be especially difficult to see.

Please allow extra travel time, watch for barricades and road closures, and use an alternate route when possible.

Conditions are continuing to change. Please use good judgment and stay safe.
