PS 96 ACT The PS 96 School of the Arts, Collaboration and Technology (ACT) is proud to serve students in 3-K through 8th grade at the Joseph C.

Lanzetta Campus in East Harlem. Using the PRIDE framework of Punctuality, Respect, Innovation, Diligence, and Empathy, we foster a community that promotes student voice and choice, data-driven learning challenges, and collaborative problem solving.

✨ 🎨 We P.S. 96 Lions are so proud of 7th grader Ella Boyd for showcasing her watercolor piece, ‘Yew Berries on a Winter Day,’ at today’s Manhattan Borough Arts Festival at the Museo del Barrio. Ella produced this incredible piece during Ms. Wysong’s after-school art club. Lions, be sure to congratulate Ella on representing our school and District 4 as a whole. Her high school plans may only be in broad strokes right now, but we’re sure her future will be as colorful and thoughtful as her piece!

Happy 529 Day to our 4th Grade Lions! What does it look like to save for schooling, and how to we budget for the future…with the 🎁💸 has made possible for our students?! Today, we used an online game created by Mr. B to experiment with budgeting for needs versus wants and took a look at how compound interest can work in a favor. Check your child’s book bag for more information, or connect with our Parent Coordinator at arrival/dismissal for help signing up!

🌱🍓Countless thanks to and for cultivating sprouts of curiosity, joy, and pride in food justice for the Harlem community at large, and for our second graders right here at PS 96. Our Lions engaged in this beautiful reading and arts-based experience thanks to our incredible partners. Families, please stop by 127th and Lenox on Saturdays for FREE yoga, cooking demonstrations, and fresh produce. We look forward to many seasons of collaborative growth alongside the inspirational team at Harlem Grown!
