To Summit Properties, fixing over 3,000 housing code violations in two months is a win. For tenants, it’s a drop out of a rapidly-filling bucket.

After winning against the city in the fight for Pinnacle’s portfolio and taking over the 5,100 mostly rent-stabilized apartments, Summit promised to remedy half of the then-6,300 documented housing code violations within two months of closing.

But the city has since gone on an inspection blitz, adding 6,000 more infractions. Now, with an updated tally, the Union of Pinnacle Tenants is unsatisfied with Summit’s progress.

Dive deep into the claims from each side via the link in the comments then share your thoughts – who should be responsible for cleaning up Pinnacle’s mess?
