It’s no coincidence that Native Hawaiian women and girls are overrepresented among s*x trafficking survivors in Hawaii. The commercial s*x trade cannot be separated from our nation’s legacy of colonization & racialized gender violence. And in places like Hawaii, the industry continues to be fueled by the demand created by the military.

The Bronx and Queens are visible from each other’s shores, but there’s no good way to travel directly between them without driving.

Reader Cali wants to know: Why is that? There's already a train that rolls between the two boroughs.

Repost • ❌ WE’RE SURROUNDING THE WHITE HOUSE ON SATURDAY, JUNE 8th. JOIN US!

A month ago, Biden said that the invasion of Rafah was a red line. But now, the invasion of Rafah has continued for weeks, has expanded to the entire Gaza Strip, Biden’s red line is nowhere to be seen. Instead of following through and stopping military aid to Israel, Biden has authorized billions more in weapons shipments to be used to kill and massacre Palestinians.

Faced with massive pressure, Biden has now proposed a new truce agreement. But he still refuses to take the step that would force the Israeli regime to accept it — cut off the flow of US-made weapons that makes the genocide possible. Massive mobilization is more important than ever to make the prospect of a ceasefire a reality.

Biden hasn’t drawn the line, but we can. On June 8, we will come together from across the country and surround the White House. Wearing red, and raising our demands high, we will show the world that we are the red line. We demand an immediate ceasefire, an immediate end to the siege on Gaza, the freedom of all Palestinian prisoners, and an end to the occupation of Palestine.

🍉🍉 AF3IRM NY/NJ asserts: From the river to the sea, Palest!ne SHOULD BE FREE. Join us THIS Saturday to pay tribute to lost Pa|estin!an lives.

We are descendants of those who have been dispossessed of land and nationality by a variety of superpowers. We condemn the lsraeli siege of Gaza, call for an immediate ceasefire, an end to its 75 years and seven months of a brutal, ruthless occupation of its rightful residents, and conferment of the right to return for its displaced. Moreover, we demand that the lsraeli entity be charged with war crimes.

Read the full statement thru the link in our bio. Ceasefire is the floor. End the Occupation and Recognize the Right to Return is the ceiling. 🍉🍉
