Much thanks to the 9/11 Museum for organizing a meaningful and well organized 25th anniversary remembrance at Ground Zero. I was there with Cal from 7 am to 1 pm and listened carefully to the words of the readers of the names. I was glad that readers were able to express their thoughts, and that the very last reader asked everyone to stop all acts of hate. Small children were as eloquent as the adults. Every name was remembered at the memorial over the water with flowers. Michael Arad is brilliant (and nice). Very moving. Never to be forgotten. Sep 11 2026

New York Institute of Technology Welcome Back BBQ / 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Event at 16 West 61 St sponsored by grants from 9/11 Day and Americorps. It is terrible that Barzini’s on the UWS closed. In addition, residents are complaining that there is a smell of rotten food. We contacted the NYS Ag and Markets Agency and they indicated that it will be cleaned out tonight and tomorrow.
