We are a family climate coalition of Sunrise Kids NYC, 350 Bk NYC, & Climate Kids Club. We believe that kids and families can make a difference in the struggle to stop catastrophic climate change, and that we are more powerful when we come together and act as one. We support climate campaigns in and around New York City that target the levers of power in government and finance. We strive to make climate activism accessible, family-friendly, and fun!

We went to Albany again with coalition & + other elected leaders to demand bring SUNNY to a vote so families across NY can access affordable, clean, plug in solar! ☀️☀️☀️

After yesterday’s disastrous budget vote, the Assembly needs to LEAD and pass as much climate legislation as possible, including SUNNY, a data center moratorium and PPRIA, to reduce plastic waste. No excuses.

Rallying & making solar ☀️smoothies in Albany for and to defend our climate law with allies and partners and more!

It’s time for the Assembly to pass this common sense legislation to legalize affordable, plug-in, balcony solar so millions of New Yorkers, including working families like ours, can start saving money and lowering emissions.

It’s also time for our state lawmakers to stand firm in defending our state’s climate progress because the truth is affordability and climate action go hand in hand, and because our kids are already paying the price of costly, polluting fossil fuels.

Right now, is putting legislators under extreme pressure to weaken the CLCPA, our nation-leading climate law that they passed in 2019 👏We’re showing up to bolster them and ask them to hold the line!!
This week we visited and ’s offices with 7 generations of humanity to thank them for defending the climate law and ask them to stay strong!! 💪💪
Hochul herself said her changes weren’t going to save consumers money. We all know that oil and gas is not affordable - for our wallets or for our climate. The price is already too high and the world is already too hot 🥵
Solar energy is cheap and harnesses FREE energy from the sun.. what’s not to love??! ☀️❤️
Betty is 97 years old and will be mad if you torch her grandkids’ future. Don’t make her mad Kathy!!!

Yesterday we rallied and blocked traffic outside ’s office to demand legislators defend our climate law, & protect kids not polluters.

Utility bills are rising because of the cost of gas infrastructure(like the Williams pipeline Hochul approved in November), war and ai data centers, not because of climate action. Solar is the cheapest form of energy, and it doesn’t poison our children’s air and water.

Call & your own reps today to tell them to defend our climate law, not the interests of fossil fuel companies and big tech!

Today showed up at ’s Manhattan town hall to spread awareness about the climate, privacy and pedagogical risks of AI in schools. At the start of the event, a 6th grader and public school student delivered our petition for a 2 year moratorium on AI in schools to the chancellor himself.

We can’t prepare kids for a future that doesn’t exist. Our kids deserve safe, green and healthy schools that give them opportunities for meaningful hands on, collaborative learning, not AI that profits of their creativity and private data while fueling climate disaster, war, ICE surveillance and authoritarianism.
