Social City is a social skills program for children between the ages of 2 to 16 years, who would benefit from supplemental social and academic support. Run by two Speech and Language Pathologists who specialize in Pragmatic Language, Tara Ferrara and Aly Spira have extensive knowledge and experience working with children, and understand the significance of adapting instruction to the individual ne

eds of each student. Social City creates a comfortable environment that encourages children to interact and bond with their peers in a small group setting. Targeted areas include attention and focus using the whole body listening approach, conversation strategies, forming and initiating friendships, feelings and empathy, emotion management, relationship skills, and improving self-confidence. Social City believes in an interdisciplinary approach to working with children through consistent collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals who work with the child. Social City modifies their curriculum to meet the specific needs and goals of the students in each group. Social City is committed to providing high quality services to enable and empower children to thrive socially and academically, preparing them for life-long success.

📸 Session One Photo Dump! ☀️💙

What an incredible four weeks at Social City Summer Day Camp! From creative art projects and team challenges to meaningful social learning experiences, our campers spent the session building social skills in fun, functional, and engaging ways. Every activity was designed to help our campers grow in confidence, strengthen communication, and practice friendship skills while having an absolute blast!

We wrapped up Session 1 with another amazing Fun Friday, celebrating all of the successes, achievements, and growth we’ve seen over the past month. We are especially grateful for the beautiful friendships that blossomed throughout the session and the supportive community our campers created together.

Thank you to all of our wonderful campers and families for making Session 1 so memorable. We hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer, and we can’t wait to kick off an amazing Session 2 on Monday! 💙🌟

🎨❤️💙 Color War was a success! 💙❤️

After a week of team-building challenges, creative crafts, and getting into our team spirit, our campers wrapped up Fun Friday with an exciting Color War! From relay races to gym games, Team Red and Team Blue brought their energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship while cheering each other on all day long. 🏆

We have been having such a blast this summer and can’t believe we’re heading into the final week of Session 1 already! We can’t wait to make even more memories with our amazing campers next week. ☀️

What better way to celebrate the end of our second week than with a Fun Friday Carnival!!🎡🎟️

Our campers had an amazing time enjoying ring toss, snapping photos at our carnival photo booth, and one of the biggest highlights of the day—pieing their counselors! 🥧😂
