If you’ve ever visited the library on a Saturday morning, you’ve met Mr. Jim! Jim Borland was our Saturday librarian (and sometime weekday sub) for 15 years! We recently celebrated his library retirement with a little breakfast of Ocracoke Coffee Company coffee and treats (we made sure to get Jim’s favorite dark roast and apple fritters.) Friends of the Library Board members, library staff, and many regular patrons joined us to wish him well.
Here he is pictured with his treats and with his wife Ann and daughter Amy.
We hope he’s enjoying his retirement!
