Congratulations to Stacey and Benjamin Lickly, who traveled from Arkansas, who are the first NWBSN Tribal Members to receive our new Tribal ID. Information on how you can receive your new travel ID will be in the September Tribal newsletter. The council would like to thank Kristie, Patty & staff for their work in reviewing and editing the ID card that was finalized by the Tribal Council. The NWBSN attended the Native American Summit this week. Chairman Jason S Walker and Vice Chairman Bradley Parry represented the Nation in meeting with the Governor, Lt. Governor, Utah Tribal Leaders and state departments. The NWBSN & the other Utah tribes signed a consultation agreement with the DHHS. The NWBSN Childcare Program and Health departments together had an informational booth.

The NWBSN hosted the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) acting Regional Director, Kurt Fredenberg at the Pocatello Tribal office. Items discussed were budgets, Tribal ID's, Charter revisions and outlook of the agency in the coming years. Thank you again for your visit and for the continued dialogue. We value our relationship with your office and look forward to working together in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
