First day of nutrition club was a huge success!

Unified Club and Unified Young Athletes kicked off the year this past week! In Unified Club, partners spent time interviewing each other to learn new things and develop their relationships. In Young Athletes, partners enjoyed doing a movement song and playing a fun game of "red light, green light!"

We love Mrs. Golka! We’re very grateful for her support of Rockwell. Well deserved!

Congratulations to Rockwell Elementary School Volunteer Sharroll Golka! Her care and commitment is amazing, which is why she is the August Honoree of the City of Omaha's Year of the Neighbor! We are so grateful for her gift of service. Thank you Mayor John W. Ewing, Jr. for recognizing her!

We are so close to our goal of $15,000 for field trips, teacher requests such as new rugs, seat sacks, class snacks, etc., and we have ONE WEEK LEFT to finish this! If we hit our goal, every student that is signed up will get 60 minutes of FREE game play at Dave & Buster’s!

Here’s your final challenge: can you ask one more person to help before the week is over? Every share and donation can help you earn even more Reward Store points, so don't forget to visit the Reward Store and pick out your prizes! Our staff definitely knows how to appreciate a good breakfast, and you helped start our day off right! We are so grateful for your generosity and for supporting our Rockwell community.

💻✨ Our HAL students had an AMAZING opportunity to learn about programming micro:bits with Mr. Larson from ESU 3!

Mr. Larson taught students how to program their micro:bit to do different commands, including playing a fun game of Rock, Paper, Scissors and how to keep score right on their device! 👏

We are so grateful for this hands-on learning experience and the chance for our students to explore coding and technology in such a fun way!
