With May being National Mental Health Awareness Month, we have two programs highlighting the importance of mental health with NAMI Westchester, Inc.

On May 20, NAMI Westchester and the OPL are co-sponsoring a special presentation focused on talking openly about living with a mental health condition with guest speakers Dan Neiman and Liz Carr. Then, on May 28, join us for the monthly "Connection" meeting, a peer-led support group offered for individuals who have a mental health diagnosis and are living in recovery. We all know that our Friends book sales are much beloved but we’re UPPING THE ANTE today and joining Green Ossining and their community tag sale 🥳 Not only can you stop by and purchase gently used books, but you can purchase photos, posters, supplies and more (office supply lovers, this ones for you 🫶)—and all proceeds benefit the Friends! We all know that feeling. The feeling to add one more book to your collection. Well, we have good news! We will be having a Book Sale this Friday, followed by a Tag Sale on Saturday!

Stop by Friday to browse gently used books! Then, come back on Saturday for the Green Ossining Community-Wide Tag Sale, featuring office supplies, shelving, and more!

All proceeds support the Friends of the Ossining Public Library.

Getting ready for the AP exams? The Ossining Public Lubrary is staying open late just for you!

Join us on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, from 6pm-11pm for a dedicated study night. Whether you prefer to study solo or with friends, we’ve reserved the theater space and extended our hours so you can focus and prepare.

What to expect:
- Quiet and group study space
- Light snacks and water (bring your own bottle if you can)
- Pizza provided around 8pm

IMPORTANT:
- If arriving after 9pm, please use the lower-level entrance
- Registration is encouraged (to help us plan food), but not required - Drop-ins are welcome!
