VFW Post 3830 Pāhoa & VFW Auxiliary
Helping Residents Affected by Hurricane Lala

VFW Post 3830 in Pāhoa and the VFW Auxiliary are opening their doors to help residents who are still without electrical power following Hurricane Lala.
They will be providing a community dinner from 4-6 tonight, Thursday, and a place where affected residents can get something to eat and charge their cell phones, tablets, computers, and other essential electronic devices while they wait for power to be restored.
We are asking our community, veterans organizations, businesses, churches, and anyone who would like to help to consider donating food items to support the dinner.
Suggested donations include:
• Desserts and baked goods
• Snacks
• Bottled water or other non-alcoholic drinks
• Ready-to-serve food items
Many families are still unable to cook meals or keep their communication devices charged. Something as simple as bringing a dessert, a food item, or drinks can help make a difficult situation a little easier for our neighbors.
This is an opportunity for all of us to come together and show what community helping community truly means.
Every donation helps. Every meal helps. Every charged phone helps someone stay connected.
