National Night Out is a nationwide community-building initiative established to foster trust, safety, and positive relationships between local law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve.

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office was absolutely thrilled to participate in three incredible National Night Out events tonight.

We had an amazing time connecting with neighbors, meeting families, and strengthening our community partnerships at the La Vista Police Department, Fort Crook Elementary School, and Stockman's Hollow Park National Night Out events!

Mother Nature tried to slow us down early on, and the initial weather challenges definitely kept us on our toes. But our resilient community did not let a little bad weather stop the fun. The skies cleared up and we ended up having a phenomenal turnout with an enthusiastic crowd that brought unmatched energy and high spirits to every single stop.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who braved the early weather to come out, chat with our deputies, check out the equipment, and celebrate neighborhood safety with us.

The 89th Sarpy County Fair is wrapping up today and the energy is absolutely off the charts.

Last night was completely unhinged in the best way possible with a sold out rodeo crowd that blew the roof off the place.
They had figure eight racing, the ladies soaped pig contest, the foot race animal scramble, the wild cow milking contest, and the 4-H premium auction all going down at once.

Add in the carnival rides, hot funnel cakes, food trucks, games, live music, vendors, and total beautiful chaos everywhere you looked.

If you missed yesterday you have got to come down here today because the Fair is going out with a bang!

The demolition derby starts at 6 pm at the motor sports complex and it is going to be pure noise and twisted metal.

The carnival rides and games open up at 1 pm and the weather is setting up to be absolute perfection all day long.

A massive shoutout to the Sarpy County Sheriff Office, Bellevue Police Department, and Papillion Police Department for keeping the vibes right and keeping everyone safe all week long so we could all just have fun and enjoy the fair. Also, a huge Thanks to Springfield Fire Department and Gretna Fire Department.

Today is the final stretch so get your friends together, get on down to the fairgrounds, and finish this weekend off right. Hope to see everybody out here today.

What an amazing morning at the 89th annual Sarpy County Fair!

The Kitty Parade kicked things off at 9:30 AM, followed by the Grand Parade at 10:00 AM.

The weather was absolute perfection, and the community showed up in full force packed with Springfield pride!

A huge thank you to Chad for coordinating such a smooth and well-run parade. We truly appreciate all your hard work!

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office is always proud to participate in these incredible community events.

There are only two days left of fair fun, and today is absolutely packed with action:

The carnival is open from 12:00 PM to midnight with $30 wristbands for unlimited rides!

At 6:00 PM, head over to the Motorsport Complex for high-octane Figure 8 racing!

At 8:00 PM, the Mid-States Rodeo takes over the Rodeo Arena, followed immediately by the always-entertaining Wild Cow Milking Contest!

The 89th annual Sarpy County Fair is officially underway and running through August 2!

Come on out for the food, rides, 4-H events, tractor pull, and rodeo. There is truly something for everyone!

Tonight is packed with unbelievable entertainment!

Head over to the Beer Garden starting at 7pm for a legendary lineup featuring the Jimmy Weber Band, Mason Michaels Band, and Tyler Anthony.

The action continues at 8pm with the Mid-States Rodeo!

Be sure to catch the 4-H Parade of Champions during the first half of the rodeo, and stick around right after the final event for the always-wild cow milking contest!

A special thanks to Dennis Svoboda for coordinating the Sarpy County Sheriff's drone team, bicycle patrol, road patrol, and deputies to keep the fairgrounds safe for everyone.

To make your visit hassle-free, the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office will also be shuttling guests continuously from both the north and south parking lots directly to the fairgrounds. The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office was happy to participate in the 30th annual Sarpy Chamber golf tournament held yesterday at Tiburon Golf Course.

What an unbelievable day at the 11th annual Back to School Bash.

The energy was electric from the moment families started arriving, with people lining up as early as 9:00 a.m. and over 150 eager faces waiting by 10:00 a.m. for our 11:00 a.m. kickoff.

Because of this incredible community effort, over 600 students walked away ready to conquer the upcoming school year.

Every single child left with a brand new backpack packed with essential school supplies, selected fresh outfits from the clothing closet, and enjoyed a fantastic day full of fun games.

Families and kids refueled with a delicious lunch of beef hotdogs, chips, cookies, popsicles, and cold drinks.

On top of that, 24 wonderful vendors showed up to connect families with fantastic programs and valuable local resources.

A huge thank you goes out to Tami Steensma, Juvenile Services Director, and her outstanding team at the Patrick J. Thomas Juvenile Justice Center for hosting yet another exceptional Back to School Bash.

Your hard work, dedication, and heart for service created an unforgettable day for hundreds of local children and families.

We are so proud of what our community can accomplish when we all come together.

What an incredible weekend in Gretna!

A huge thank you from the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office to everyone who came out to Peterson Park for the Gretna Days Community Picnic and over to McKenna Avenue for the Road Burners Car Show.

The heat was absolutely scorching out there today, but nothing stops the unbelievable spirit and pride of this community. We had such a blast connecting with all of you while taking part in all the fantastic family fun, from the touch-a-truck setup and dunk tanks to the live music, magic show, kids games, and cold watermelon feed.

We are so grateful to the amazing local sponsors and donors who provided the free food and drinks, as well as every single person who braved the sizzling sun to celebrate with us.
