West End has been on the move!

We were able to send a tanker up to the Heglar Fire last night to help assist with firefighting efforts. Our Tanker 560 has been refilling the ponds, allowing the helicopters to quickly refill and head back to the fire.

Back to school!

WEFD was also able to cook for Paul Elementary’s Back to School Night! We hope everyone has a safe and successful school year!

West End Fire & Rescue is proud to be there for our community and to help our neighbors when they need us!

Today at 11:08 WEFD was dispatched to a 15 year old male that was crushed by a skid steer. Air saint Luke’s was automatically dispatched. Upon arrival, the workers at the scene had the skid steer off of him, and we were able to start a trama assessment. We would like to thank Air saint Luke’s, Magic Valley paramedics, and Jerome County sheriffs office, for their fast response and help.

We are sending prayers to our patient and his family.

West End is wired up and excited for the 4th of July!

As everyone heads out to celebrate, please remember to stay alert and pay attention to the road so everyone can get where they’re going safely. With increased traffic, parades, family gatherings, and festivities, a little extra caution can go a long way.

We love celebrating our nation’s independence, but please remember to do it safely, especially when it comes to fireworks.

A few things to watch out for:
• Dry grass and brush
• Gas cans and other flammable liquids
• Garbage cans
• Buildings, vehicles, and other structures
• Children and pets that may be nearby

Always have a water source available, never leave fireworks unattended, and make sure all fireworks are completely extinguished before disposing of them.

Have a safe and enjoyable holiday! We can’t wait to see everyone at our fireworks show tomorrow night. Thank you for helping keep our community safe, and Happy 4th of July from all of us at West End Fire!

Back at it again!

We were able to cook for west Minico, for their end of the year celebration!

Then over to East Minico to spray water at the kids!
