Advertisement for the Following Position:
Cafeteria Manager

Qualifications:
 High School Diploma or GED
 Three or more years of successful experience as a school cafeteria staff member (preferred)
 Two or more years of successful experience in food preparation and service
 Complete state required professional cafeteria manager classes within the time frame set by the Georgia Department of School Nutrition and Atkinson County Board of Education School Nutrition Program.
 Secure ServSafe Certification within the first 3 months of employment
 Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, cafeteria staff, school administrators and other school system departments
 Demonstrate basic proficiency with use of computer software, Google Drive, and electronic Breakfast and Lunch meal production records
 Demonstrate ability to supervise cafeteria staff members
 Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines established by the School Nutrition Program for
monthly, weekly, and daily tasks (grocery orders, produce orders, paper product orders, milk orders, juice orders, snack orders, production records, written and electronic records of daily
reimbursable meal service, staff time sheets, etc.)
 A criminal record check is required.

Work Schedule:
 190 days per school year
 Monday through Friday
 6 am until 2 pm
 Start Date July 21, 2026

🚨 City of Pearson Precautionary Boil Water Advisory 🚨

The City of Pearson has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory following a waterline repair that may have caused low water pressure in portions of the water system. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice from the City of Pearson Water System.

Atkinson County School System Update

Summer School will resume as scheduled on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The Atkinson County School System is implementing its ACSS Water Outage Protocol to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff. Summer School operations will continue as long as water service remains sufficient to flush toilets and maintain essential sanitation needs.

As part of our safety procedures:

✅ Bottled drinking water will be provided for all students and staff.

✅ Food service operations and school activities will follow all established health and safety guidelines.

✅ District staff will continue to monitor updates from local officials and the City of Pearson Water System.

✅ Any changes to school operations will be communicated promptly.

El Sistema Escolar del Condado de Atkinson está implementando su Protocolo ACSS para Interrupciones del Servicio de Agua con el fin de garantizar la seguridad y el bienestar de todos los estudiantes y empleados. Las operaciones de la Escuela de Verano continuarán siempre que el servicio de agua sea suficiente para descargar los inodoros y mantener las necesidades esenciales de saneamiento.

Como parte de nuestros procedimientos de seguridad:

Destruction of Special Education Records
Atkinson County Board of Education

The Atkinson County School System announces the intent to destroy specific special education records according to the Common Records Retention
Schedules for school systems, under the Georgia Archives University System of Georgia. All special education records for students who graduated
with a regular education diploma on or before May 22, 2026 will be scheduled for destruction on or after June 30, 2026. For students who have not
earned a regular education diploma, their special education records will be maintained until they earn a regular education diploma and/or reach the
age of 22 on or before June 30 th of each school year.
The student or parent may need these records for Social Security or other reasons. Any person desiring to obtain his/her records may contact the
Special Education Department in writing and with positive identification, prior to the scheduled dates noted above at 98 Roberts Ave, Pearson, GA.
