Congrats National Reconnaissance Office on the successful launch of the NROL-179 mission today. NRO’s proliferated architecture and ISR systems support intelligence and U.S. Department of War missions, including tracking moving ground targets from space—strengthening sensing, targeting, and operational decision-making.

MISSION SUCCESS: NROL-179 launched today at 4:50 a.m. EDT on a Falcon 9 rocket from VSFB.

The NRO is delivering a never-before-seen level of persistence, timeliness, and resilience – a clear information advantage to our stakeholders.
