Come one come all, as we welcome the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts on Saturday, June 27 at 2:00PM for a very special all-ages circus workshop! 🤹

Learn how to juggle, balance feathers, and spin plates and lassos, all in a safe and encouraging environment. All skill levels are welcome for a low pressure, fun learning experience.

This program will take place in our third floor meeting room, accessible by elevator.

Are you struggling with stress or anxiety and interested in natural, herbal remedies? Clinical Herbalist Emma Pike will teach you about how stress impacts the body and how teas and tinctures can ease those feelings. Calming herbal teas will be provided to sample! 🌿🍵

This workshop will be open to adults, and no prior knowledge is required. It will take place on our third floor, accessible by elevator.

Our new book club will meet again on Saturday, June 27 at 11AM, this time to discuss Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin. Copies are available now to checkout at the adult/teen reference desk.

Giovanni's Room is a modern classic about a young American man in 1950s Paris who finds himself caught between desire and conventional morality.

Reading the book beforehand is encouraged but not required! We will also select a book to read for July after the discussion. Hope to see you there!

Have you been loving the idea of our viral clay program for adults, but wishing there was an option for younger folks? THE WAIT IS OVER 🌈

Youth ages 6-18 are invited to celebrate Pride Month and sculpt with on Saturday, June 20 at 12:00pm! All supplies provided.

Space is limited - first come, first served.

🎉HOLIDAY HOURS UPDATE🎉

The Free Library system will close early at 1:00pm on Friday 5/22 in anticipation of the Memorial Day holiday, along with most other City agencies. Libraries will operate normal hours on Saturday 5/23, from 10:00am-5:00pm. All libraries will be closed on Sunday 5/24 and Monday 5/25.

We’ll see you again at the Fishtown Library on Tuesday 5/26 at 11:00am!

Art is for everyone! Drop in between 5:00-6:30pm on Monday, June 1 to make personalized art using repurposed materials including magazines and books.

Participants are welcome to bring their own materials. Paper materials, adhesive, and some cutting mats and Xacto knives provided. ✂

For adults. Limited to 12 participants. First come, first served.

✏️📓 The library’s free, drop-in Literacy Enrichment Afterschool Program is here! K-12 students are invited every weekday from 2:00-4:30pm for fun activities on the 3rd floor. Caregivers welcome!

➡Homework help is offered until 6:00pm on Mondays & Tuesdays on the 1st floor.
