Mayor Parker campaigned on a cleaner, greener city. This week her administration filed to renew the contract with Reworld — the operator of what’s been called the largest incinerator in the country, sitting in a majority-Black city that’s breathed our pollution for decades.

Burning trash is 23x more harmful than putting it in a landfill. The city knows. They’re doing it anyway.

We still have time to stop this. We’ve been in this fight, and we are not backing down now.

They have money. We have people.

Rigged democratic ward elections are not new. It happens every cycle — but we are happy that from is brining more attention to these hyperlocal fights.

If even centrists like party chair Bob Brady and Congressmember Brendan Boyle are disappointed and disgusted by what happened in the 22nd Ward how do you think the commitee people and the voters in the ward feel?

It’s time to normalize relations between the United States and Cuba - and end the U.S. economic blockade once and for all.
For over 60 years, the blockade has punished ordinary Cuban people, restricted family ties, and blocked access to medicine, food, and essential goods. Full normalization of diplomatic relations, unrestricted travel and remittances, and lifting the embargo are the right steps for justice, human rights, and regional solidarity. The U.S. should join the rest of the world in ending this failed policy.
