Rojo Amanacer shows the story of one family during the events of the 1968 Tlatelolco Massacre. The film, originally censored by the Mexcan government, explores how the ‘68 movement played out both within the family and in the streets in Mexico City.

Join Philly Socialists as we watch Rojo Amanacer and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

The screening will be followed by a brief open discussion about the themes of student movements, government repression, and the 1968 struggle in Mexico.
