A new senior housing option is coming to Northeast Philadelphia!

St. Katharine Drexel Place will offer 48 one-bedroom apartments for income-qualified adults age 62 and older, with an anticipated opening in late 2026 or early 2027.

Two upcoming community meetings will provide information about the housing and application process:

🚨Overnight Lane Closures on South I-95 🚨

🚧Tonight (Monday, 8/31) through Thursday, 9/3, there will be overnight lane closures on southbound I-95 from 9PM to 5AM between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Ave. interchanges.

These closures are necessary for crews to carry out overhead light repairs as part of ongoing improvements along the highway through Philadelphia, including the widening project to four lanes in each direction.

My staff and I had a great time at the 8th Police District's 5th Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament.
What a great way to show our support to the hard working men and women in blue! It was great to see so many people of the community out and having fun.
