New Foundations Charter School

New Foundations Charter School New Foundations is a K-12 public charter school located in Northeast Philadelphia, PA.

New Foundations Charter School, a caring community of learners, is located in the Greater Northeast section of Philadelphia. Opening in 2000, NFCS is now a kindergarten through 12th grade school serving 1500 students. Here at NFCS, the staff, faculty, administration, students, parents, and community work together to provide a safe and healthy environment where every child can learn and become empowered to make a real difference. We celebrate the diversity of our students, offer a challenging curriculum, and extend the classroom into the community. NFCS also provides academic enrichment through service-learning, after school programs, interdisciplinary projects, and a school-wide caring community program. All students receive instruction in core subjects such as Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies, as well as specialty subjects Foreign Language, Art, Music, Physical Education, Health, and Computer Science. NFCS is a full-inclusion school, and provides support for its special education students.

Back-to-School Night Reminder!

High School: Tonight at 5:00 PM
K–8: Tomorrow at 5:00 PM

For our K–8 families, we highly encourage students to remain at home, as the presentations are designed for parents and guardians. However, if any children need to be present, they should stay with their parents. Back to School Night is an overview of the academic program, not individual conferences (those will happen in November).

We look forward to seeing you!
