🚒 Phoenix Fire crews responded to two separate fires overnight & early this morning.

Around 10 p.m., crews responded to a commercial building fire near 19th Ave & Glendale Ave. Firefighters extinguished the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring businesses.

Crews also responded to a house fire near 44th St & Greenway Rd. around 2:15am. Firefighters extinguished the fire and searched the home, which was vacant.

No injuries were reported at either incident. No residents will be displaced from the vacant home. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of both fires.

🚒 Preparation starts long before the call comes in.

Last week, members of Phoenix Fire Engine 8 and Rescue 8 toured the Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Suns G League training facility to become familiar with the building, emergency systems and pool chemical storage locations.

The visit also gave crews an opportunity to connect with facility staff, discuss emergency action plans and review how medical care would be coordinated if a player or staff member needed help.

Building these relationships and learning the spaces within our first-due area helps our firefighters be better prepared to respond when seconds count.

🚒 Phoenix Fire crews responded to a house fire near 37th St & Van Buren St. around noon Sunday.

Firefighters rescued three dogs and three cats from the home. Some of the animals were revived using oxygen and pet oxygen masks before being transported to a nearby animal hospital for treatment by the Arizona Humane Society.

Three people escaped before firefighters arrived but will be displaced by the fire. Community Assistance Program personnel are assisting them.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause. No injuries reported.

Your work doesn't always come with flashing lights or sirens. It happens in plans reviewed, buildings inspected, codes strengthened, hazards identified, problems solved and countless conversations that help prevent emergencies before they ever happen..

🚒 Mobile home fire near 51st Ave & Camelback Rd.

Phoenix and Glendale firefighters were called out around 9 p.m. for a mobile home fire. When crews arrived, one home was fully engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the original home and prevent it from spreading to surrounding homes.

The home was not occupied, no one will be displaced. No injuries have been reported on the foreground.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

For more than 90 years, Phoenix Fire’s Fire Prevention Section has been preventing fires long before they start.
Much of that work happens behind the scenes and you may never see it or even know it's happening.

But when a building is designed safer, a firefighter can access it faster, or a fire is stopped before it has the chance to become a tragedy. That's Fire Prevention at work.

This Fire Prevention Week, we’re giving a well-deserved thank you to the men and women who have spent generations looking ahead, solving problems and making our community safer.

To the members of Fire Prevention: thank you for more than 90 years of innovation, leadership and service. Your work doesn't just prevent fires. It saves lives. ❤️‍🔥

🚒 A large tire fire threatened several businesses early this morning near 75th Ave & Indian School Rd.

Phoenix Fire crews were called out around 5 a.m. and found a large fire burning outside a business, with flames threatening nearby buildings.

Because of the size of the fire and the risk to surrounding businesses, additional crews were called in. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines while ladder crews used an elevated water stream to reach the heart of the fire.

No injuries reported.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine what caused the fire.
