Cooper Varney, Wade Murphy, Mylie Wherry, and Zechariah Standifur represented Pike County Central High School at the CEDAR Entrepreneurial Community Improvement Program (E-CIP) competition!

The team pitched a practical, community-focused business idea and demonstrated creativity, teamwork, and professionalism throughout the competition.

Opportunities like this allow business students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges while developing valuable entrepreneurial and communication skills. We are grateful for the opportunity to compete and gain this valuable experience!

An amazing day at Region 11 FCCLA. Liley Reitz from Shelby Valley High school serves as President and conducted the meeting. Shelby Valley High School served as the host school and planned the meeting at the Pike County Library. We had approximately 70 people in attendance. Regional Officers- Cadence Childers - Noah Wallace - CJ Bartley- Bella Gerardo - and Liley Reitz did an outstanding job conducting the business meeting, leading leadership activities and providing officer training. Thank you to Bella Cain, Britlyn Gross and and Kayla Roberts for working registration.

Pike Central FBLA kicked off Red Ribbon Week with our first community service project today!

Our FBLA members set up a table during both lunch periods and invited students to share their “why” behind the message “My Future Is Too Important to Risk. I Have Big Plans!”

Students wrote down their reasons for choosing to remain drug-free, displayed their responses for others to see, and received a sweet treat for participating!

To continue spreading awareness throughout Red Ribbon Week, our FBLA chapter has also prepared public service announcements that our principal will share during morning announcements next week.

We’re proud of our FBLA members for taking an active role in encouraging their peers to remain drug-free and focus on the futures they’re working toward! ❤️

Pike Central Co-op student Ashlyn Davis is gaining valuable real-world experience in community outreach, patient engagement, and healthcare marketing at Nightmare on Main!

Ashlyn is pictured with her boss, Jennifer Prater, at Mountain Family Medicine, where she is employed through Pike Central’s Co-op Program.

What a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while connecting with families and giving back to the community!
