Hope Ignites is the catalyst that empowers youth to reach their full potential. Through our voluntary, application-based program, we support motivated young people from middle school through career launch. We meet them where they are—offering after-school programs, holistic support, and, when needed, a safe place to live. By connecting youth to opportunities for economic and social mobility, Hope Ignites changes long-term trajectories.

At out annual Golf Outing, we come together for a day full of golf and support for our scholars. We would love for you to join us, playing individually or as a foursome, for a fun day while we raise funds to support our scholars.

It’s officially time for our scholars to head back to school! After a very eventful summer full of trips and new adventures, we are excited to see how they will take on the new school year. Above you can see Zion, Sky and Gihanna on their first day back!

As school ramps back up, we are more dedicated than ever to helping our scholars be successful. We love spending time with our community, sharing more about Hope Ignites and our mission. As we have expanded, we have added more of our Evenings of Hope, allowing us to get together in one place, talk about our mission, and look forward to the change we can all make together. If you are interested in learning more about what we do, we have another Evening of Hope coming up on August 19th. We will have speakers who can share more about our organization, our impact, and our plans for the future!

We had three scholars fly across the country this week, this time for our STEAM & Business Camp in California, where they can have educational sessions and networking opportunities to inspire and expose them to new career path possibilities, learn from tech experts and leaders, and to reflect on how their purpose and passion can intersect with STEAM and Business to solve real-world problems. They had a wonderful time. It was a great way to open their minds to new possibilities as we prepare for the next school year!

That’s a wrap on our scholars’ trip to Guatemala! They are on the plane and headed home. While they are in the air, we thought we would take a minute to share another update on their trip.

- Two of our scholars, Devon and Sonita, celebrated their birthdays while they were there!

- They did an additional service project, helping store food at a local food bank.

- They explored local shops and went on a coffee tour.

- They made memories and friends that will last a lifetime.

We are always so proud of our scholars, but to see them accomplish so many firsts such as first time on a plane, out of the country, and more, has truly shown us how much they have grown and want to accomplish. Thanks to our wonderful community, we are able to help them achieve everything they set out to do. We are excited to have them back and hear all about their adventures and what it has inspired them to achieve next.

Another update from our scholars’ trip to Esperanza Juvenil, Hope Ignites of Guatemala. Scholars and staff from all of our affiliates worked on a service project helping to paint at a school nearby. They all did an amazing job to come together and brighten up the school for local children to learn in. Check out the before and after videos as well as pictures of them in action!
