The map posted identifies areas where fireworks are strictly prohibited. Please note that this map is not a comprehensive representation of every hazardous area within our jurisdiction. Even in locations where fireworks are not restricted, extreme caution should be exercised.
Additionally, all unincorporated lands within our jurisdiction and surrounding our jurisdiction are currently under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions due to ongoing drought conditions and elevated fire danger.
Under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions:
• Campfires, charcoal grills, and open fires are only permitted in developed campgrounds and designated recreation areas with approved fire rings or grills.
• Smoking is prohibited except within an enclosed vehicle, building, developed recreation site, or other cleared area free of flammable vegetation.
• Welding, cutting, grinding, and other activities that create sparks should be conducted with extreme caution and only when proper fire prevention measures are in place.
• The use of explosive targets, steel-jacketed ammunition, and tracer rounds is prohibited.
Drought conditions across our region have been well documented, and several fires throughout the state have already started and rapidly grown into significant incidents, resulting in evacuations of cities and towns.
As we approach the holiday season, we ask everyone to use good judgment and prioritize safety. A single spark can have devastating consequences for our communities, first responders, and natural resources.
Please celebrate responsibly and help us prevent the next wildfire.
