Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day.

TMAN is recognizing this day because menstrual health is a human right - not shameful, not invisible, and not something that stops mattering when someone transitions.

Trans men are often left out of conversations about periods. That silence causes harm. Some Trans men have periods. Some don’t. Both are real. All deserve care and respect.

We also name what systems keep ignoring: access to pads, tampons, clean water, and safe bathrooms is still unequal. Period poverty is real. Stigma is still heavy. And for BIPOC Trans men, that burden is even heavier - carried through silence and being overlooked.

We are not here to make this conversation comfortable. We are here to make it honest.

A period does not make someone less of a man. And a man having a period does not make him any less worthy of respect or belonging.

A means no one is pushed out because of their body.

As we remember the life and legacy of Harvey Milk today, we re-commit ourselves to his vision: “All young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.” —Harvey Milk

Today and every day, we will fight for all LGBTQ+ people to be safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
