Finding the right childcare or preschool program is an important step in your child's early learning journey. πŸ’™

The Portneuf Valley Childcare & Pre-K Fair is bringing local childcare providers, preschool programs, and early learning resources together in one place, making it easier for families to explore options and connect with programs that fit their needs.

We invite families to save the date and join us as we celebrate and support early learning in our community.

Are you a childcare provider, preschool, or organization serving young children and families? Vendor registration is still open for the fair. Send us a message for more information.

In 2024, 37% of Idaho households struggled to make ends meet, including 11% living in poverty and another 26% who were ALICE.

That means more than 1 in 3 households are facing difficult choices every day between essentials like housing, food, transportation, child care, and health care.

These numbers aren’t just statistics, they’re real families, friends, and neighbors navigating tough realities across our state. Understanding the scope of this challenge is the first step toward meaningful change.

You see ALICE every day, but you might not know it.

Child care providers, cashiers, cooks, tellers, and other essential workers help keep our communities running while often struggling to afford the basics. ALICE households that earn above the Federal Poverty Level yet still can't cover the true cost of living.

In Southeastern Idaho, these workers are our neighbors, friends, and family members.

Healthy communities depend on a healthy environment. 🌎

This World Environment Day, we invite you to take a small action that can make a big difference, whether it's cleaning up a local park, reducing waste, planting something new, or volunteering for an environmental project in your community.

Looking for a way to get involved? Visit justserve.org to find volunteer opportunities that help care for the places we all call home.

When we invest in our environment, we help create stronger communities for generations to come.
