Porter Elementary School

Porter Elementary School The official New Caney ISD page for Porter Elementary School. Porter Elementary opened in the fall of 1965.

The original building was enlarged to suit a growing population in 1975. The building would see construction again in 2003 adding new classrooms and remodeling the existing space. The building as it now stands houses almost 715 students and 80 staff members. School Hours are 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

We always knew our Dragons were smart, but they proved they can command a room! 🗣️ Mrs. Moss’s 4th-grade class participated in "Teacher for the Day," and let’s just say... some of them realized exactly why teachers need that extra cup of coffee in the morning. 😉 Show some love for our amazing student-teachers! 🐉❤️

Mrs. Martinez’s 4th-grade Dragons wrapped up their "Number the Stars" unit in the coolest way possible. They traded their desks for cozy blankets and flashlights to read the final chapter together. There is nothing better than bringing a great book to life!
