Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. We are on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Since it was established in 1983, The Oregon Chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted more than 4,400 wishes to local children in our community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and

even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible. A wish forever transforms the lives of children, their families, and entire communities. It's through the strength of our great community that Make-A-Wish can continue granting wishes. Wish Alum Joseph is turning his passion into hope and joy for future wish kids! ✨

At this year’s Malheur County Fair, Joseph auctioned off his steer and raised an incredible $17,000 and counting to help grant life-changing wishes for local children. As someone who knows the impact of a wish firsthand, his generosity and dedication make this gift even more meaningful.

We are so grateful for Joseph, his family and everyone who supported the auction, including the amazing people at the Malheur County Fair and the Malheur County Junior Livestock Committee who helped make this amazing fundraiser possible. 💙🪄

Level unlocked: Wish trip! 🍄⭐💙

Preston lived out his Super Nintendo World dreams when he visited Universal Studios Hollywood.

“This trip meant so much to us,” said Preston’s mom, “We were able to soak up special time with Preston and focus on something so fun after the last three years had been so hard for us.”

Surrounded by the characters he loves, he created memories with his family that will bring smiles for years to come.

We are so grateful for the amazing team at River City Speedway along with their sponsors, supporters, racers, and fans who collectively crossed the finish line and raised $11,218.25 to help grant local wishes. 🏁🏎️

Ready, set, SWING! 🛝✨

For wish kid Preston, there’s nothing better than soaring on a swing and making memories with his family outsides. That’s why an accessible swing was at the top of his wish list.

When asked what this wish experience meant to their family, his mom shared, “It’s a dream come true! It means inclusion, happiness, joy, lots of giggles, and accessibility achieved.”

We are so thrilled to know that Preston and his family will have even more opportunities to play, laugh, and make memories together. 💙

Wish granted! 🌴🥥

When Sami dreamed of Hawaii, she envisioned cultural experiences, quality time with her family, and days spent enjoying the beaches and ocean.

“Sami was so relaxed on our trip. She loved the beach and warm water the most,” said Sami’s mom, “It meant everything to us to be able to experience this time together and not worry about anything other than having this special adventure together.”

Aloha to unforgettable adventure and memories that will last a lifetime. 💙🌟

We often hear the misconception that a wish is a last wish. It's actually a lasting wish. Wish Alum James is proving just how far one wish can reach and how big a pool of hope it can create. 💙

He recently spearheaded his own benefit concert to support other wish families following his wish to have a contrabassoon in 2023 - and has raised $17,219 and counting!

“Make-A-Wish was the most important part of my cancer journey, inspiring me when nothing else could,” James said. “Performing for others is my greatest passion, and a benefit concert was the perfect way to combine my passions of performing and my goal of brightening the lights people so often don’t see.”

We want to give a huge thank you to James, his family and his incredible community of supporters who are showing up for local children at a time they need it most.

Make-A-Wish night with the Eugene Emeralds was a home run! ⚾🧢

A huge thank you to all the wonderful wish families and volunteers who came out to the game! A special shout-out to the wish kids and their siblings for welcoming the Emeralds players onto the field and helping with game announcements.

We have to give a standing ovation to the Eugene Emeralds for donating a portion of tickets sales back to Make-A-Wish Oregon. Your generosity helps bring more life-changing wishes to local children. ✨💙
