Checking out the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest? Stop by Peace Park for a great view! Weather permitting balloons will launch again this evening around 6:00. It was a great view today over the park, Ferris BBQ, Skyway Variety and F.W. Webb!

Peace Park Pavilion Dedication
Tom Powers was the kind of person every community hopes to have, someone who showed up, lent a hand, and quietly made things better for everyone around him.

He believed in this park. He believed in creating a place where families could gather, children could play, and neighbors could connect. His commitment helped move this project forward, step by step, from an idea to the reality we see today.

In aviation, we often talk about guidance, teamwork, and steady hands. Tom embodied those qualities. He helped keep us on course, encouraged us when the work felt challenging, and reminded us that meaningful things take time and dedication.
