PFD Member Spotlight: Lisa Vogel

At Proctor Fire Department, training doesn't stop when the class ends. We are fortunate to have members who bring experience, knowledge, and a genuine passion for helping others grow and Lisa Vogel is one of those members.

Lisa is not only a member of PFD, but also a Mayo Clinic Ambulance Education Instructor. Over the past couple months, she has been training PFD Firefighters Matt Harnell and Carlie LaLone in Emergency Medical Response, alongside firefighters from the Lakewood Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Lisa wears many hats when it comes to keeping our members and first responders from surrounding departments current and prepared. Her training combines strong technical knowledge with kindness, care, and real-world experience. She has a way of taking what can seem like textbook material and connecting it to situations responders may actually encounter in the field.

Recent training included:
-Reading blood glucose levels
-Patient evaluations for cardiac events
-Patient evaluations for respiratory emergencies
-Environmental emergencies, including stings, burns and allergic reactions
-And a preview of this weekend's upcoming trauma care training

This is just one example of the many ways Lisa contributes to the strength of our department and the readiness of first responders in our region.

Proctor Fire Department is proud to have Lisa as one of our own and incredibly thankful for the knowledge, experience, and dedication she brings to our team and our neighboring departments.

Thank you, Lisa, for investing in the people who answer the call.
