I know we made the choice to grow the zucchini. It really did seem like a good idea this spring. Well, now we know what we are having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner this week!

Like I said yesterday, if you’re in Providence and you don’t yet have a plan to vote, open your calendar now (yes, right now!) and make your plan. If you think you’ll be busy on primary Election Day, September 9, go vote early. If you have a mail ballot, send it in ASAP or drop it off in the mail ballot dropbox on Eddy Street behind City Hall. Vote like your city and state depend on it—because they do!

28 years ago today, Kevin and I got married in Danbury, Connecticut. We’ve been a lot of places, done many things, had three spectacular children, lost family members and friends, gained new ones, worked, traveled, played, and made our connection to each other stronger every year. Happy anniversary, Señor Bub. I love you!

Today's Ward 2 Letter focuses on back-to-school in Providence, tomorrow's Historic District Commission meeting including a proposed development on Pratt Street that's getting a lot of attention, election information, my AI policy, and more. Enjoy!

Hi Ward 2 neighbors! This is a quick explanation of the upcoming sewer maintenance work that will happen on Blackstone Boulevard between Mount and Irving this coming week (on the eastern/odd-numbered side). I’ll also share more about this in the next Ward 2 letter, a weekly email that I send every Sunday. You can sign up for that here: jilldavidsonri.com/ward2-email

Ward 2 Neighbors,

An update on the Blackstone sinkhole: the void has been partially backfilled and the full void has been covered with steel plates. The crew will be back today to start repairs. Around the University, Elton, and Irving intersections, Blackstone will be closed today and Thursday at a minimum; traffic is disrupted. A police detail is present and will be adjusted as needed. I’ll share updates as repair proceeds.
