TVFD Was built in 1964 and supported by the community in 1969 TVFD was funded through taxes .

This still was not enough for TVFD to operate so the women would sell blankets have plate sales and fund raisers and the men would barbecue hogs for sale.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the fire fighter lost in the line of duty in Durham and prayers for a speedy recovery to those injured

The trucks are checked. The radios are on. The gear is ready.

Some are career. Some are volunteer. Some just finished a long shift. Others left their families this morning knowing that when the tones drop, they’ll go.

Different patches. Different departments. Different communities.

Same mission.

Show up when somebody is having one of the worst days of their life.

There are thousands of people across the fire service doing exactly that today without expecting recognition for it.

So before we talk about software, technology, reports or anything else today, we just want to say:

Thank you for answering the call.

Stay safe. Take care of your crew. And make it home.
