The West Virginia Department of Highways (WVDOH) will host a community planning workshop in Shepherdstown as part of the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.

The workshop will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at Town Hall, located at 104 North King Street in Shepherdstown, WV 25443.

The Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan will identify needs, programs, and policies that make it easier for West Virginians to walk and bike in their communities.

Community members are encouraged to share their experiences, local knowledge, and vision for active transportation across the state.

We had an absolute blast celebrating with our community at the 2026 Ranson Festival & Car Show on Saturday.

From the amazing car show entries and talented vendors to the food trucks, Kids Car Show, and family-friendly activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see our community come together for a day of fun, connection, and hometown pride.

A special thank you goes out to our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, entertainers, community partners, car show participants, and City staff whose hard work helped make this event possible.

Today, we were pleased to attend the ribbon cutting for Jefferson County Community Ministries' Clinic at the Neighbor Project. 🎀✂🎉

Located right here in Ranson, this facility is a great example of what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared goal of serving others. Through collaboration and partnership, the Clinic will help connect residents with valuable resources, services, and support.

We congratulate Jefferson County Community Ministries and all of the partners who helped bring this vision to life!
