In the Fire Service the “Dinner table” is so much more than just a place to eat. It’s a place the crews share countless meals over careers that span decades. It’s a place we debrief after critical calls. It’s a place we study and further our education. It’s a place we learn so much about each other and our families. It’s a place we debate, laugh, and yes sometimes cry and ultimately become like family. Thank you Senior FF/Paramedic Tab Shumway for your craftsmanship. We can’t imagine the hours you spent on it.

Rest easy Norm.

Local 2894 with heavy hearts regret to announce  the unexpected passing of retired firefighter Normand Marotte. Norman dedicated years of service helping and protecting others, always answering the call with courage, compassion, and commitment. His impact on the fire service and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.
Please keep his family, friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Rest easy, brother.
Preliminary arrangements are at the Hathway funeral home in Somerset. from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 2nd.

Come down for a great family day of fishing. Registration opens @ 7a (@ the Fire Station), fishing starts @ 8a. Refreshments , awards and raffles to follow. As always we would like to extend great thanks to John from Electrochem , Rob from RMC construction, Aaron Mello (Dunkin 290 Broadway) and Russ Reed for their continued donations and support of the fishing derby . See everyone in the am, the weather looks great.
